– Focus on sustainable growth and long-term planning
– Individual investment of over €230 million in a new production building at the Ravensburg headquarters
– Further investments to increase efficiency and quality of development and manufacturing processes

Vetter, a globally leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), is investing over €230 million at the Ravensburg site in a new production building that will house several commercial filling lines. With the completion of the 122 m long, 44 m wide, and 32 m high shell, an important milestone has now been reached since construction began in November 2021. The pharmaceutical service provider will thereby further increase its commercial production capacities for the company's global customer base and plans to install the first cleanrooms by the end of 2024.

Vetter CEO Thomas Otto: “Our new production building is a sign that we want to meet our customers' needs for complex injectable medicines in terms of packaging systems, specific process requirements, and batch sizes. This is just one of several investments we are currently making to sustainably secure our growth.”

Other investments include expanding laboratory space for analytical services, increasing filling capacities through additional commercial production lines at existing regional sites, expanding cold storage and warehousing, as well as a new warehouse for technical equipment and tools. Additionally, infrastructure and related processes are continuously being developed at all global locations, new approach and preparation rooms are being established, and the handling of inbound and outbound materials at production sites is being further optimized.

“The needs of our customers and the patients they serve are constantly evolving in our industry,” emphasizes Vetter CEO Peter Sölkner. “Our task and responsibility as a leading CDMO is to act as a strong partner, to take the necessary proactive steps to recognize relevant industry trends early, and to meet the growing market demands by building appropriate resources. In the coming years, we will continue to invest to fulfill this commitment – as a service provider from early development through aseptic filling to assembly and packaging services.”
