- New, modern corporate headquarters completed
- Focus on stability and progress even in challenging times
- Further investments in national and international development and production capacities

Vetter, a globally leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), has moved into its new corporate headquarters in Ravensburg. With the opening of the new Ravensburg Vetter Kammerbrühl headquarters, the family-owned company sends a clear signal: stability and progress are possible even in the current times. While the global situation surrounding the coronavirus continues to change, Vetter continues to do everything possible to remain a stable and reliable partner for customers and suppliers in its business field in the future. This allows the pharmaceutical service provider to continue supplying patients worldwide with some life-saving medications together with its clients.

With the realization of the new corporate headquarters, Vetter is responding both to the steady growth of its employees and to changed circumstances. "We focus on sustainable and future-oriented actions, with our attention on our customers and their patients," explains Managing Director Peter Sölkner. The new building is designed for around 1,000 employees and impresses with its modern spatial concept. It includes, in addition to appropriate office spaces, the new operational restaurant ATRIUM with a cafeteria and around 40 meeting rooms. The pharmaceutical service provider placed great importance on modernity during construction and implemented the building according to the latest structural and environmental standards at an investment cost of around EUR 50 million. The company's previous headquarters in Ravensburg, Vetter Verwaltung, continues to be used: partly as a training and education center within the Vetter Academy to continuously offer employees qualification programs and individual development opportunities. Furthermore, the building now features a separate audit and conference floor.

At the same time, the pharmaceutical service provider has set ambitious goals for its other locations: recently, a new combined building for manual optical control and secondary packaging was occupied at the Ravensburg Vetter South / Vetter Secondary Packaging site. Additionally, a new cleanroom for filling syringes is planned to be commissioned in 2021 at the Schützenstraße site. Vetter has also secured an adjacent plot of land for another production building. The recently acquired clinical manufacturing site in Rankweil, Austria, is expected to be ready for the filling of first active ingredients in the development stage in the second half of 2021.

"Part of our 360-degree approach is to also invest in expanding the development areas," says Managing Director Peter Sölkner. "We are observing a consistently increasing demand from our customers as well as increasingly complex requirements for modern active ingredients." The company is also responding to this at the Schützenstraße site and continuously at its American development location. Managing Director Thomas Otto explains: "Our goal is to sustainably expand our production capacities and to align the upstream and downstream areas accordingly in a holistic manner."

In the coming years, the company also aims to further expand resources in quality control. After the recent implementation of another system for automatic optical control, the pharmaceutical service provider plans to acquire three additional machines in the Center for Optical Control and Logistics: "We want to provide sufficient resources for final quality control and at the same time create new flexibility. This will enable us to better offer our customers manual or automatic quality control depending on batch size and specific properties of their product," explains Managing Director Thomas Otto.

In the future, the pharmaceutical service provider will continue to invest in long-term partnerships with its customers and aims to develop further sustainably.
