Vetter and Rentschler Biopharma strengthen strategic partnership

Rentschler Biopharma and Vetter, two globally operating Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs), announced today that their strategic alliance has reached another important milestone. The companies have concretized the framework for their collaboration, established a governance structure, and implemented guidelines for a joint, cross-functional approach. Parallel to the initiation of first joint customer projects, the two pharmaceutical service providers are working closely on existing projects and related fields.

The goal of the alliance initiated in mid-last year is to create long-term added value through close coordination and harmonization of manufacturing processes, enabling faster and simpler product supply for patients worldwide. Together, the two CDMOs are expanding their service offerings by now providing complementary services and expertise along the value chain.

In addition to a cooperation agreement on the collaboration between the two companies, key agreements and guidelines have been implemented in various specialist areas, including quality, development, and logistics. These include important standards for a joint approach of the two companies with the aim of optimizing interfaces for customers and their long-term planning.

"Implementing joint processes and mutual agreements was a fundamental building block that we identified early in our strategic alliance," explains Vetter Managing Director Peter Sölkner. "We are pleased with this targeted development of the collaboration."

At the level of the global Business Development teams of both companies, there was also an intensive exchange about future cooperation and a clear definition of target markets: Europe, USA, Asia-Pacific, and other growth countries. From now on, customers will be approached jointly, benefiting from the complementary capabilities of both CDMOs.
