Valuable tips from practice

The nora systems training program 2015 on rubber floors

Often, it is just small tricks and techniques that guarantee a perfect result. Therefore, nora systems also offers a variety of training courses in 2015 around the installation and cleaning of rubber flooring. In the seminars held at the in-house training and information center in Weinheim, application technology specialists share their expertise. The seminar offerings are diverse and aimed at different target groups. From now on, interested parties can register for the various training sessions.

Seminars for Installers

Which installation materials are most suitable and what should be considered when preparing the substrate? How can installation errors and resulting claims for defects be avoided? Answers to these and other questions are provided to installers in the two-day installation seminars. The focus is on practical execution and processing. Guided by experienced factory installers, the participants learn in a relaxed and collegial atmosphere how to economically and flawlessly install rolls, tiles, and profile systems. Additionally, comprehensive explanations and tips are provided regarding the installer’s inspection obligations, floor construction, environmental aspects, and disposal. "Participants especially appreciate that specific problems and individual wishes are addressed flexibly," says Uwe Bauer, Head of Application Technology at nora systems and responsible for the installation and cleaning training courses.

Dates of the two-day seminars:

March 12 and 13, 2015, June 18 and 19, 2015, November 11 and 12, 2015

Tips for Facility Managers and Cleaning Service Providers

In buildings with high public traffic, the flooring is subjected to long-term stress — optimal cleaning is particularly important here. Additionally, for example in hospitals, special hygiene guidelines often need to be followed. This presents a challenge for facility managers and cleaning service providers. The nora application technology team is here to offer advice and support. "Many participants initially have very basic questions," reports training manager Patrick Pfeifer-Heike. "They want to know, for example, how to distinguish between different types of elastic flooring, which cleaning agents are best suited for which type of flooring, and which cleaning methods are most economical." The application technicians demonstrate, among other things, how even difficult stains can be easily removed from uncoated nora floors and provide tips for refurbishing damaged surfaces. There is also significant interest in the training on cleaning with nora diamond pads, which can mechanically clean and polish rubber floors — only with water and completely without chemicals.

Dates of the two-day seminars:

April 15 and 16, 2015, June 23 and 24, 2015, November 11 and 12, 2015

Workshops for Architects

For architects involved in the construction of industrial and research buildings, nora systems also offers specialized training courses. "The demand for such offerings is high," says Christian Fleuren, Market Segment Manager Industry at nora systems, who leads the seminars. When planning production facilities, laboratories, or research institutions, topics such as the dynamic load capacity of the floor system, electrostatic discharge ability, chemical resistance, or the cleanroom suitability of the materials used play a central role. Here too, the nora team is truly close to the customer: During in-house workshops at architectural firms, fundamental topics are discussed as well as individual, project-specific questions. Additionally, the nora training center regularly hosts events for architects from around the world, focusing on color trends and current designs in the context of developing new products.

Designers from the industrial sector interested in an in-house event can contact Ulrike Kühnle (ulrike.kuehnle@nora.com, phone: 06201 / 80 42 70) for more information.
