Valuable tips from practice
The nora systems training program 2016 on rubber floors
From specialists for specialists: Often, it is just small tricks and techniques that make the flooring in a property look perfect. Therefore, nora systems also offers a variety of training courses in 2016 around the installation and cleaning of rubber flooring. In the seminars held at the in-house training and information center in Weinheim, application technology specialists share their expertise. The seminar offerings are diverse and targeted at different audiences. From now on, interested parties can register for the various training sessions.
Seminars for Installers
Which installation materials are most suitable and what should be considered when preparing the substrate? How can potential installation errors and resulting claims for defects be avoided? Answers to these and other questions are provided to installers in the two-day installation seminars. The focus is on practical execution and processing. Guided by experienced factory installers, the participants learn in a relaxed and collegial atmosphere how to install rolls, tiles, and profile systems efficiently and without errors. In addition, comprehensive explanations and tips are provided regarding the installer’s inspection obligations, the floor construction, as well as environmental aspects and disposal. "Participants especially appreciate that flexible responses are made to specific problems and individual wishes," says Uwe Bauer, Head of Application Technology at nora systems and responsible for the installation and cleaning training courses.
Dates for the two-day seminars:
March 3 and 4, 2016, June 8 and 10, 2016, November 10 and 11, 2016
Tips for Facility Managers and Cleaning Service Providers
nora flooring leaves the Weinheim factory as premium products. To ensure they look good over the long term during daily use, proper cleaning is of great importance. Especially in buildings with high public traffic, the flooring is constantly exposed to high stresses. Additionally, in cases such as cleaning in hospitals, specific hygiene guidelines often need to be followed — a challenge for facility managers and cleaning service providers. The nora application technology team is available to assist with advice and support. "Many participants initially have very basic questions," reports training manager Patrick Pfeifer-Heike. "They want to know, for example, how to distinguish between different types of elastic flooring, which cleaning agents are best suited for each type, and which cleaning methods are most economical." The application technicians demonstrate, among other things, how even difficult stains can be easily removed from uncoated nora floors and provide tips for restoring damaged surfaces. There is also significant interest in training on cleaning with nora diamond pads. These allow rubber floors to be mechanically cleaned and polished — only with water and completely without chemicals. Additional service: Under certain conditions, the nora application technology team also offers on-site in-house training.
Dates for the two-day seminars:
February 24 and 25, 2016, June 21 and 22, 2016, November 22 and 23, 2015
Training for Planners on ESD Protection
For planners involved in the construction of industrial or production buildings, nora systems offers training on electrostatics and ESD protection. "The demand is high," says Christian Fleuren, Market Segment Manager Industry at nora systems, who leads the seminars. "Terms like conductivity, discharge ability, or antistatic are not part of architecture studies. However, clients expect relevant knowledge when implementing architectural solutions." This topic is increasingly becoming central in the planning of production facilities, laboratories, or research institutions. The nora team is also very close to the customer here: During in-house workshops at architectural firms, ESD protection is a top priority on the agenda. But other aspects, such as media resistance or the dynamic-mechanical load capacity of floors, are also addressed alongside individual or project-specific questions. Upon request and in coordination, additional experts from the German ESD Network (www.deutsches-esd-netzwerk.de) can participate in the in-house events and share their expertise.
Planners from the industrial sector interested in hosting a workshop at their premises can obtain further information from Ulrike Kühnle (ulrike.kuehnle@nora.com, phone: 06201 / 80 42 70).
