Vaisala introduces a high-quality industrial Indigo sensor that enables top-notch data and intelligent decisions

The Indigo 520 Signal Generator combines state-of-the-art technology and outstanding new features. The signal generator has space for up to two probes simultaneously. It ensures greater comfort, compatibility, and continuous accuracy even in the harshest industrial measurement environments.

Vaisala, a globally leading company in weather, environmental, and industrial measurements, today introduces the new industrial Vaisala Indigo 520 Signal Generator, which offers extensive advantages and user-friendliness in demanding industrial applications.

The Indigo 520 features a rugged metal housing. It is compatible with the comprehensive Vaisala range of intelligent, Indigo-compatible measurement probes for humidity, temperature, dew point, carbon dioxide, vaporized hydrogen peroxide, and humidity in oils. Up to two removable measurement probes can be connected simultaneously to the signal generator to measure the same or different parameters at the same time. The probes can be quickly and easily exchanged if needed. The signal generator has a robust metal housing rated IP66 and NEMA 4, as well as a touchscreen display made of impact-resistant glass.

The Indigo 520 Signal Generator displays measurement data in real time and transmits it via analog signal and relay or digitally via the Modbus TCP/IP protocol over Ethernet to automation systems. The Ethernet connection of the signal generator also provides a web interface with cybersecurity standards compliant with modern requirements.

The Vaisala Indigo 520 Signal Generator will be available from June 2020.
