Vaisala expands its product range for climate chamber applications with the new measurement module HMM170

With the today's launch of its new humidity and temperature measurement module HMM170, the company provides a high-quality product for customers with climate and environmental simulation chambers. The measurement module has been specially optimized for OEMs and enables reliable humidity measurements under very challenging environmental conditions. It also impresses with easy integration and compact dimensions.

Demanding climate tests of products place the highest demands on the performance of the measurement technology used. The new Vaisala HMM170 humidity and temperature measurement module has been optimized for integration into OEM systems and is suitable for use in climate chambers, i.e., testing chambers for simulating various environmental conditions or in stability chambers for testing the packaging and shelf life of medicines or in incubators for cultivating cell and bacterial cultures.

The HMM170 is based on the latest Vaisala HUMICAP® technology, which operates with capacitive thin-film polymer sensors. The new Vaisala HUMICAP® R2 sensor impresses with excellent corrosion resistance and long-term stability. The HMM170 offers a measurement accuracy of ±1% rF and is suitable for extreme and highly humid environments with high temperatures as well as for use under vacuum and pressure conditions. The measurement module uses a heated sensor and patented Vaisala technology with a heated probe, enabling precise measurements even in highly condensing environments. Additionally, the chemical cleaning function protects the sensor against the effects of chemical air pollutants.

The delivery of the Vaisala HMM170 humidity and temperature module will begin at the end of April.
