Universal Robots is expanding its sales network in additional federal states

New integration partners for Cobot applications

Universal Robots (UR), the world market leader for collaborative robots, is expanding its sales network in North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia, and Saxony with four new partners. The companies Pultex GmbH from the Nordeifel, mkf GmbH from Lederhose near Gera, conveo based in Lennestadt-Grevenbrück, and ibs Automation GmbH from Chemnitz have recently received the Certified System Integrator seal from UR. From now on, they will advise their customers on the entire product portfolio of the Danish manufacturer.

"Companies are struggling with an acute shortage of skilled workers and high efficiency requirements. Universal Robots supports them and continuously builds a strong partner network with experienced system integrators and sales partners. These experts bring in-depth know-how and practical relevance and support our customers directly on-site," explains Andrea Alboni, General Manager Western Europe at Universal Robots. "Through strong local partnerships, we enable companies of all sizes and industries to fully harness the benefits of our robot technologies and sustainably increase their competitiveness."

Precise automation with cobots

Pultex GmbH, a specialist for plastics in industry and craft from the Nordeifel, uses lightweight robots (cobots) from the Danish world market leader to automate manufacturing processes such as gluing, painting, dosing, and coating. Other applications include surface treatments such as grinding and polishing. Thomas Bongard, Managing Director of Pultex, says: "For us, the cobots from Universal Robots are not just machines. We see them more as partners that help us implement our vision of automated processes. With this collaboration between humans and machines, we combine innovation and precision, shaping the future of manufacturing processes."

Flexible automation for individual needs

The special machine builder mkf from Lederhose, southwest of Gera, uses UR's lightweight robots to offer its customers individual and flexible automation solutions that optimize production processes and reduce costs. With over 30 years of experience, mkf offers custom machinery, modular plant concepts, and process automation, with cleanrooms and their automation gaining increasing importance. Piet Hötger, Sales Manager at mkf, says: "Today, flexibility is very important for our customers to compensate for personnel shortages or to make adjustments to changing product properties. To enable maximum flexibility for our customers, we use cobots in our (partial) automation. UR is a partner with a broad product portfolio and an easy-to-learn operating concept. It’s fun to try things out and implement quickly."

Efficiency increase through customized automation

conveo, the specialist for customized automation solutions from Lennestadt-Grevenbrück, automates manual workplaces and offers specialized applications such as pick & place, machine loading, palletizing, and bin picking. With UR's cobots and their expertise in robot gripper modular systems, conveo provides its customers with tailored solutions to reduce manual work and increase efficiency. Jan Cordes, Managing Director of conveo, says: "As a certified system integrator of Universal Robots, we can offer customized automation solutions that can even be profitable for processes with lower batch sizes. The extensive portfolio of robot models with various load capacities and reach, as well as the strong partner network, speaks for the leading manufacturer in the field of collaborative robotics. Furthermore, we are committed to our goal of making automation accessible to companies of all sizes."

Individual Cobot solutions for a variety of applications

The automation equipment manufacturer ibs Automation from Chemnitz cooperates with Universal Robots (UR) to offer customized cobot solutions for machine loading, gluing work, and flexible processes that standard products cannot solve. The 17-member team with over 20 years of experience in software design provides reliable and precise control solutions worldwide. Regarding the collaboration with Universal Robots, Fabian Krause, Project Manager Automation at ibs Automation, says: "The high flexibility that cobots offer was decisive for us. They can be easily and quickly reconfigured for the most diverse applications. This allows us to develop individual solutions for our customers."
