The world market leader in collaborative robotics Universal Robots (UR) is expanding its sales network in Germany and Switzerland with three new partners: Sohns Maschinenbau GmbH, Wilhelm Dreusicke GmbH & Co. KG, and Arnold Schweisstechnik GmbH.

"After the peak of the pandemic, we are noticing an increasing demand for robotic applications. To offer our interested parties competent development partners directly nearby, we are gradually expanding our network in the DACH region," explains Andrea Alboni, General Manager Western Europe at Universal Robots. "It is very important to us to make the step into automation as easy as possible, especially for small and medium-sized businesses. Experienced system integrators and sales partners on site play an important role for us. They are the ones who support our customers every day with a lot of expertise and passion for our robot technology."

Collaborative Robots as an important component of customized solutions

Sonhs Maschinenbau GmbH is also convinced of the many possibilities of this technology. The company specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of systems and machines for assembly, inspection, sorting, and labeling tasks, as well as laser systems, conveyor systems, and systems for containers and pallets. With extensive know-how, state-of-the-art equipment, and years of experience, the company develops customized solutions for its clients' individual problems. "In the past, I have already implemented several projects with robots from Universal Robots. Integrating the cobots into existing processes and systems was always comfortable, and acceptance among employees was very high due to the simple handling," says Nils Hofmann, project manager at Sohns Maschinenbau GmbH. "Based on these positive experiences, we have now decided to partner with Universal Robots. We look forward to working together and successfully implementing many more exciting projects."

Progress and innovation in automation

The also new Certified System Integrator Wilhelm Dreusicke GmbH & Co. KG from Berlin offers its customers worldwide competent consulting in various areas. The company sells automation solutions for the manufacturing industry, for example, for feeding machine tools or automating inspection and testing processes. As part of its portfolio, the company designs and constructs individual solutions, adapts programming for existing robot systems from Universal Robots, and creates customized control panels and input options. Furthermore, Dreusicke has developed a modular system of easily combinable standard components around the Universal Robots cobots. This is intended to simplify entry into automation for small and medium-sized enterprises. "'Automation – Just start!' is our motto. The cobots from Universal Robots fit in perfectly here. They are intuitively programmable, thoughtfully designed, and operate with high precision and repeatability. That convinced us," says Dr. Ingo Rückert, Managing Partner at Dreusicke.

More flexible workplaces in production

The company Arnold Schweisstechnik GmbH from Switzerland advises and supports its customers in implementing the latest welding and cutting technologies and in manufacturing high-quality welding products. The family business sells and rents various welding and cutting systems, as well as related accessories. The focus is on metal welding with active gases (MAG), metal welding with inert gases (MIG), and tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) with cobots from Universal Robots. "We decided on a partnership with Universal Robots because, in our opinion, there is no robot on the market that is better suited for various welding applications. The cobot is intuitively and quickly programmable and can be used in many ways. Thanks to the robots from Universal Robots, we can meet even the most demanding customer requirements," says Matthias Arnold, Managing Director at Arnold Schweisstechnik.

Partner network reflects the diversity of collaborative solutions

With the expansion of its partner network, Universal Robots aims not only to represent the full range of collaborative robotic applications but also to strengthen the production sites in Germany and Switzerland. "Many companies are currently suffering from labor shortages. To be able to produce reliably even during economic peaks, more and more businesses are choosing automation," explains Alboni. "A cobot is affordable for smaller companies and provides the ideal foundation to keep production lines profitable even with a lean workforce. We warmly welcome our new integrators, who will complement the existing expertise perfectly."
