Universal Robots celebrates milestone with over 500 innovative UR+ productions

Universal Robots (UR), the world market leader for collaborative robots (Cobots), has reached another milestone: the company offers over 500 products through its UR+ ecosystem.

This demonstrates the significant growth of the ecosystem since its introduction in 2016. The goal is to make Universal Robots an open-source-like platform through which developers can realize innovative solutions. The UR+ ecosystem includes a wide range of components, kits, applications, and solutions, both hardware and software, tailored to various customer needs.

"Universal Robots relies on collaboration. This milestone clearly shows that we are the first choice as a platform for collaborative robotics," said Kim Povlsen, President of Universal Robots. "We have a unique ecosystem with hundreds of partner companies, from small start-up developers to established and well-known brands. UR+ is therefore very diverse and can continuously evolve."

The UR+ ecosystem provides users access to products ranging from individual components, such as grippers, to complete solutions for tasks like palletizing and welding. The development of complete solutions has been a clear trend for several years. The focus within the ecosystem is increasingly on providing customers with turnkey solutions for the most common automation requirements.

Furthermore, applications and solutions based on AI technology are clearly on the rise. Products compatible with the new generation UR Cobots for heavy payloads are also available on UR+.
