UFM Precision HD4

PROMESS has developed a new series of presses in hygienic design (HD). The new unit UFM Precision HD4 has been certified according to the particle cleanroom class ISO 4 according to DIN EN ISO 14644. It is ideally suited for assembly processes in cleanrooms and can be easily integrated into existing or new systems.

The joining module is characterized by its high repeatability and highly precise punch guidance. The precision mechanics, high-resolution sensors, and intelligent control allow results in the micrometer range. For applications in cleanrooms, the design of the unit has been adapted. A well-thought-out system of seals, filters, and surface refinements minimizes particle emission and enables precise manufacturing without environmental contamination. Damage caused by residual dirt on sensitive components is thus avoided. The servo press is easy and thorough to clean due to its construction. All components are made from FDA-approved materials or coated with a coating that complies with FDA regulations. The unit operates at a speed of 300 mm/s, a stroke of 100 mm, and a nominal force of 1 kN. The series of presses will be expanded with units up to 10 kN. The joining module's standard delivery includes the programming software UFM V5.xx, suitable for both simple and demanding applications. Users thus have access to extensive quality monitoring using window and/or curve technology. Through the modern database structure, process data can be stored and evaluated, ensuring consistent product quality.
