Two Design Awards for Ganter
Ergonomic, highly functional, and visually exquisite. With a new stainless steel design series, Ganter makes a statement – and receives the German Design Award and the iF Design Award.
Industrial design has also been a central quality feature for capital goods for quite some time. Because design ensures a brand-appropriate product appearance, optimizes functionality, ergonomics, and even reduces manufacturing and operating costs. This applies not only to large machines or systems but to every professional product, including screwdrivers, robots, control cabinets – and standard elements. Ganter demonstrates how positively design can influence with a new design series developed together with the Fürth-based design agency Corpus-C by the market leader from Furtwangen. The series made of A4 stainless steel includes the T-handle GN 5063, wing nuts GN 8340, and wing screws GN 8350, the latter equipped with internal or external threads from M5 to M12.
The three standards are based on the same design language, featuring a soft yet distinctive line guidance that is both elegant and highly functional. Smooth contours and gentle transitions facilitate cleaning of the optionally matte-brushed or polished surfaces. Additionally, the shape allows for better ergonomic handling and thus the application of greater operating forces.
The restrained and uniform design fits almost any design line and enables a visually coherent integration of various clamping and operating functions, ensuring a consistent appearance across different machines.
Ganter and Corpus-C received two prestigious awards for the T-handle and wing nut / screw family: the German Design Award 2022 and the iF Design Award 2022. The iF jury particularly highlighted the "excellent ergonomic properties," as well as the "timeless" and "very high-quality" aesthetics.
