The demand for experts in cleanroom technology remains unabated. TU Graz has therefore further developed the German-language master's program "Cleanroom Technology" and has been offering it from November 2017 as an English-language program "Cleanroom Technology." This is intended to enable international interested parties to participate as well.

Cleanroom technology continues to be one of the fastest-growing markets worldwide and is used in nearly all areas of manufacturing and processing industries, as well as in many service and healthcare sectors. Therefore, it targets individuals from medicine and medical technology, microelectronics, process engineering, pharmaceutical industry, architecture and civil engineering, food industry, as well as plant planning and construction.

Participants will receive a solid part-time education at a scientific level, focusing on cleanroom technology as a core technology, along with its production technologies and influencing factors.

"The vision of the program is to teach a stimulating combination of practical knowledge and scientific fundamentals," says program director Stefan Radl. "Only in this way can graduates understand current technology, apply it competently, improve it evolutionarily, and ultimately develop revolutionary new solutions." The areas of application range from automotive manufacturing, pharmaceutical and medical device production to the development of LED lamps.

The classes take place twice per semester in a one-week teaching block from Monday to Saturday. The in-person sessions are supported by online elements that enable learning regardless of time and place.
