Transporting and lifting in sensitive areas

In explosion-proof areas and cleanrooms, strict requirements apply to floor conveyors. A multitude of legal and safety regulations must be met. The southern German manufacturer EAP Lachnit offers specifically for these areas trolleys, forklifts, and lifts made of stainless steel. They are characterized by their performance capability, robust construction, and optional special features for countless tasks in sensitive environments.

In sensitive zones such as cleanrooms or explosion-proof areas, safety is of the highest priority. Floor conveyors must also meet the strictest legal requirements here. EAP Lachnit offers trolleys, forklifts, and lifts made of stainless steel for transporting, lifting, and moving goods. The devices from the established manufacturer are considered extremely robust and powerful. For special requirements, additional variants of trolleys, forklifts, and lifts are possible.

Reaching new heights with Electric Forklift Type 430

For lifting loads to great heights up to 3335 mm, EAP Lachnit offers the agile electric forklift Type 430 as a cleanroom version with telescopic mast and hydraulic lift. The mast height is 2350 mm when retracted, and 3950 mm when extended via telescopic mast. The maximum door opening height is 2400 mm, the clear support fork width is 555 mm, and the support fork height is up to 80 mm at maximum. It lifts loads up to 400 kg in EX zones 1 of category 2G/2D "CTX (temperature class depending on media temperature); an EX certificate from TÜV Süd is available for this.

All wheels are designed to be electrically conductive, and the steering rollers on the operator side are equipped with a brake. Two receiving spindles measuring 45 x 875 mm with a maximum width of 800 mm accommodate the loads. The forklift is completely made of stainless steel grade 1.4301 / V2A / AISI 304, with surfaces electropolished.

The Type 430 forklift is also available in a pneumatic version with a 3-stage telescopic mast. This model can lift loads up to 500 kg to a height of 3500 mm. It is very maneuverable (turning radius 1600 mm) on tandem stainless steel wheels with PU coating. Typical loads include chemicals on aluminum pallets measuring 1300 x 800 mm. All structural parts, including the rolled mast profiles, are made of stainless steel with the material 1.4301 / V2A / AISI 304. The pneumatic cylinder has an EX approval EX II 2GD IIB T3.

Lift and move with the mobile lift

For handling in cleanrooms of ISO Class 7 according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1, EAP Lachnit offers the mobile lift in stainless steel version. This lifts loads up to 200 kg to a height of 1600 mm and is manually movable. The load is picked up with a lifting shield and two forks, which are adjustable along the shield. Lifting and lowering are operated with a hand chain hoist and stainless steel wire rope. The lifting range is approximately 90 - 1600 mm. For safety, the steering wheel is equipped with a lock. Polyurethane-coated wheels, which are electrically conductive, are installed on the booms. Along the top of the booms, seven guide rollers in ESD version are mounted for side guidance in parking rails.

Slim and agile: Electric Trolley Types 411 K, 412 K, 422

For many transport tasks in explosion-proof areas and cleanrooms, classic trolleys are used. EAP Lachnit also offers special versions here: The electric trolley 411 K is suitable for simple but quick loading and unloading of goods. And when it comes to transporting heavy loads over longer distances, the powerful electric trolley 412 K with a ride-on platform is ideal. The construction of the electric trolleys is very robust. A torsion-resistant load frame with rounded fork ends allows gentle handling of the transported goods. Entry and exit rollers ensure that pallets can be easily picked up. An overload protection and a gentle lowering valve are standard features. The trolleys have high stability thanks to central wheel drive with bevel gear transmission and offer high driving comfort; even thresholds can be crossed easily. Operation is via a safety steering tiller with control and operation elements. For emergency situations, the electric trolley is equipped with an emergency stop switch and a safety button with automatic reverse. The maximum load capacity is 3,000 kg, and the lifting height is up to 205 mm (optional up to 300 mm). Thanks to a small turning radius of 1,600 mm, the trolleys are very maneuverable. A travel speed of 4 km/h allows for quick progress.

For use in sensitive areas or environments with high humidity, the switch with rubber cover is provided, and the control, battery, and hydraulic unit are enclosed in a waterproof stainless steel housing meeting IP67 protection class. The stainless steel material (1.4301 / V2A / AISI 304) and the surface blasted with glass beads allow for easy and thorough cleaning. The electric trolley complies with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and bears the CE mark.

For conveying tasks requiring higher lifts, the electric forklift Type 422 is the right choice. With a load capacity of 1,250 kg, it is powerful and offers versatile application possibilities. A large steering angle and full freedom of movement on both sides make the trolley very agile; the bevel gear drive also ensures high stability.
