With ENGEL e-factory 2, ENGEL sets new standards in production data collection. Thanks to its expanded feature package, the new release of the ENGEL MES solution can be directly connected to ERP systems like SAP and now also allows the integration of injection molding machines from different brands. The result is increased productivity and efficiency in injection molding manufacturing.

Manufacturing Execution Systems – short MES – ensure transparency in operations. From the desk, manufacturing key figures can also be monitored in real-time to enable immediate countermeasures in case of deviations from the plan. ENGEL e-factory 2 currently includes the following modules:
- e-factory Monitor provides an overview of current status information such as production progress, causes of downtime, and machine alarms. The hall layout and the production log are displayed side by side in a clear manner. The system automatically alerts when stored threshold values are exceeded.
- e-factory Mobile presents essential status information in a concentrated and optimized manner for mobile devices. This ensures that data is available anytime and anywhere via the internet.
- e-factory Data, the central management of part data sets, ensures quick and secure changeovers. Since data sets are transmitted online to the machines and full control over the settings used is maintained, quality is continuously secured. All machine settings can be viewed online and offline, and changes are documented.
- e-factory Chart documents all process data seamlessly as a basis for statistical analysis. At the same time, the module supports plastics processors in fulfilling their documentation obligations to their customers.
- e-factory Reports automatically generate shift, order, and long-term statistics, enabling management to make well-informed decisions at any time.

ENGEL continuously develops its MES solution further. Additional functionalities are in preparation. Soon, further modules such as order detailed planning and maintenance management of machines and tools will complement the new release ENGEL e-factory 2.
