From April 4th to 6th, 2017, the European Coatings Show will take place in Nuremberg. It is the world's leading trade fair for the paint and coatings industry. In this professional environment, Vink Chemicals is also at home and will present its products and services for pot and film preservation at ECS. The company produces application-specific and customized biocide formulations for paints, varnishes, adhesives and sealants, as well as for construction chemicals.

Effective preservatives for pot and film preservation based on current regulatory requirements are the focus of Vink Chemicals's trade fair presentation. The company from Kakenstorf in Lower Saxony offers everything from a single source: over 100 biocide formulations based on approximately 21 biocidal active ingredients and an all-in-one service with laboratory services, research and development, raw material procurement, logistics, as well as regulatory consulting and support. In biocide development, effectiveness and user-friendliness are just as important as label freedom and the absence of sensitizing and carcinogenic or allergenic substances. All necessary registrations and approvals, for example under the new regulation on biocidal products (EU) No. 528/2012, are handled by Vink Chemicals, and if needed, also on behalf of the customer. Furthermore, the marketing of approved Vink products as private label is possible.

Effectively reduce biofilm formation

The basis for the effective use of biocides is the individual operational hygiene consultation provided by the Vink expert team on site. Optimal operational hygiene can increase the effectiveness of biocide use. This saves costs and protects the environment. This also includes combating harmful biofilms in production facilities. There are three strategies against biofilms: ignore them, remove them regularly in an elaborate manner, or adopt the best strategy and reduce their formation through effective cleaning measures. For this, Vink Chemicals offers the system cleaners Vinkocide SR1 and SR3, which can also be used in combination or together with biocidal components if needed. They are used depending on materials, operating parameters, and infestation level, and serve to regularly flush the production equipment. When properly selected and used, the system cleaners ensure that there is already a lower microbial load in the production processes for paints and coatings. Based on this, the necessary biocide formulations for product preservation can be used efficiently.

The professional team for correct biocide use

Vink Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG develops and formulates individual biocides in batch sizes of up to 20 tons per batch. Sixteen specialists in Kakenstorf are responsible for sales, raw material procurement, product development in their own R&D laboratory, and production facilities. The production volume of 12,000 tons per year covers the complete range of well-known biocides for pot and film preservation of paints and coatings, as well as for water treatment, cutting fluids, construction chemicals, detergents, cleaning and disinfectants, or the polymer industry.
