In addition to Point-of-Use compact systems for ultrapure water generation, Werner GmbH presents an ultrapure water system with components from the industrial high-end sector: SuperAquadem® SA20: The system delivers a capacity of up to 15 l/min of Type I ultrapure water (ASTM, CAP, VDI SC, or ISO 3696). Standard compact systems are limited to 2 l/min. The basis of SuperAquadem® SA20 consists of two serially connected regenerated ion exchange resin polishers to eliminate anions, metals, and organic compounds. A downstream membrane filter or ultrafiltration ensures the maximum permissible particle concentration in the submicron range (<0.05 µm). Subsequently, UV disinfection (254 nm) and oxidation (185 nm) are performed for microbiological and organic safety, resulting in low TOC values (< 5 ppb).

Particularly economical are the operating costs of this series: Compared to compact, pre-assembled cartridge kits and filter capsules, the operating costs can be reduced by 85% in this system line (from 5 l/min). The price per liter of €0.03/liter for ultrapure water of semiconductor or HPLC quality is unique.
