Component cleaning makes a significant contribution to product quality and value creation. However, the tasks involved have changed considerably in recent years. This requires an adjustment and optimization of the cleaning processes. The fundamental seminar "Quality Assurance in Component Cleaning" offered by the Professional Association for Industrial Part Cleaning (FiT) provides the necessary knowledge. The two-day event for training employees in the field of component cleaning will be held on September 20 and 21, 2023, at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences.

In numerous industrial sectors, modified and new components, changed manufacturing technologies, and increasing demands on particulate and film cleanliness of components require an adjustment or optimization of cleaning processes. At the same time, higher requirements for energy and resource efficiency of manufacturing processes must be met. This often presents employees in the field of component cleaning with major challenges, as technical cleaning knowledge is rarely taught practically in training or studies. To reliably, efficiently, and sustainably ensure the cleanliness requirements resulting from subsequent manufacturing processes, such as coating, bonding, welding, or assembly, well-coordinated solutions for the cleaning process and its monitoring are necessary.

Component cleaning in theory and practice

FiT closes this knowledge gap with the basic seminar "Quality Assurance in Component Cleaning." The two-day qualification and further education event will be conducted by fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG on September 20 and 21, 2023, at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences. To maximize learning success, the number of participants is limited to 40. The speakers are experienced experts from various fields of cleaning and application technology.

To introduce the topic, the agenda for the first day includes an inspiring lecture explaining the fundamental topics in systematic planning and optimization of cleaning processes. Other presentation topics include the composition and mode of action of aqueous cleaning media and organic solvents, cleaning concepts and wet chemical procedures, as well as monitoring of cleaning media and component cleanliness. The content of these presentations will be deepened in the afternoon through topic-specific practical exercises. On the morning of the second day, experts will provide basic knowledge to enable optimal selection of cleaning chemistry and procedures, plant technology, and solutions for monitoring quality-influencing parameters during cleaning and for ensuring component cleanliness. In the afternoon, participants will be introduced to the strengths and limitations of various solutions for controlling particulate and film cleanliness, as well as media monitoring, through live practical exercises, allowing them to apply these themselves.

This seminar is aimed at specialists and managers from development, design, production planning, manufacturing, and quality assurance in the industries of metal processing, automotive industry, mechanical engineering, electronics manufacturing, precision mechanics, optics, medical technology, surface and coating technology, and other industrial sectors where component cleanliness is a quality criterion.
