The Swiss Medtech Expo is on track

The repositioning of the Swiss Medtech Fair convinces exhibitors and partners. The Lucerne Fair expects 150 exhibitors and presents the first strategic partners with the Fraunhofer Institute and Messe Erfurt.

On September 15 and 16, 2015, the Swiss Medtech Expo (SMTE) will take place at the Lucerne Fair. The SMTE is the trade fair for Europe's third-largest Medtech market. On this leading platform, system and component suppliers, specialized service providers, as well as research and educational institutes present themselves to developers and engineers of major manufacturing companies.

Concept and customer proximity convince

By the end of February, over 100 exhibitors had already registered for the two-day fair. Not only does the focused trade fair program on innovation, system suppliers, and additive manufacturing convince exhibitors, as fair director René Ziswiler explains: "Our exhibitors are impressed by the state-of-the-art exhibition halls and the customer-oriented approach of the Lucerne Fair, and they value it highly."

A lecture program full of innovation

The interesting lecture program is entirely focused on innovation. The Innovation Forum on the first day of the fair deals with internal and external treatment strategies for the musculoskeletal system. The current state of research and the latest technological trends from Swiss, German, and Austrian perspectives are highlighted. The high-quality lecture series is organized by the Fraunhofer IPA, Stuttgart, and the AO Foundation Davos.

Trade fair focus: Additive manufacturing

New materials, machines, and processes create new application fields and accelerate the triumph of additive manufacturing in medical technology. In cooperation with Messe Erfurt, Lucerne Fair was able to secure the Rapid.Area, the mobile trade platform for additive manufacturing and 3D printing, for the SMTE.

The organization of the SMTE is carried out in close collaboration with the main partner, Health Tech Cluster Switzerland (HTCS). The well-staffed trade fair committee and the strategic partners, Fraunhofer Institute and Messe Erfurt, are significantly involved in the conception of the SMTE. This ensures that the SMTE is up-to-date and will address and explore the current needs of the industry.
