The product line Absolute V
HEPA filter of the next generation
Camfil, market leader in air cleaning solutions, introduces the next generation of high-volume HEPA filters for sensitive processes: the Absolute V product line. These filters stand for increased safety and productivity while consuming less energy. Absolute V, the new HEPA filter generation, continues the success story.
What is Absolute?
The first HEPA filter was developed in the 1940s for the nuclear industry. Due to its high filtration performance, it was called an "absolute" filter. Camfil has been known for decades for manufacturing and selling Absolute filters. The proven product line is used in sensitive processes and demanding applications, primarily in biological safety, containment, life sciences, as well as in the food and beverage industry.
With the new generation of the Absolute V line, Camfil meets the increasing hygiene requirements of industries with sensitive processes. By installing in ventilation units or filter housings, these high-volume HEPA filters provide optimal protection while reducing overall operating costs. Containment applications can also benefit from the many advantages of the new Absolute V series when products from this range are installed in safety enclosures for hazardous exhaust air.
Some processes are more demanding than others
In industries such as food and beverages or life sciences, hygiene requirements for clean air are particularly high. Choosing the right filters is therefore a significant challenge. The filters should not only protect products from unwanted particles but also be made from materials that do not contaminate the sensitive process. To meet these high standards, Camfil is also launching a ProSafe version of the Absolute V filters. Special attention was paid to simplifying the handling of the filters in terms of weight and stability, as well as reducing energy consumption.
Lighter, Stronger, Greener
Lighter – A challenge for service technicians is installing these types of filters, which often weigh more than 20 kg. With the new metal version (11 kg) and the plastic version (less than 10 kg), Camfil has significantly reduced the weight of the Absolute V filters. The innovative rounded corner design, combined with the reduced weight, also helps minimize the risk of tearing maintenance hatches during filter replacement in housings with Bag-in / Bag-out (BIBO) solutions.
Stronger – Despite the lower weight, the optimized design and state-of-the-art technologies enable increased stability. This is crucial for easier and safer handling and filter installation.
Greener – Due to the optimized design, the initial pressure drop is reduced to 240 Pa at 4000 m³/h – unique for this type of high-volume HEPA filters! Compared to the current market average of comparable products, this results in annual energy savings of up to 23% or up to 1,400 kWh per filter. This energy saving, along with the reduced waste weight, significantly contributes to achieving CO2 reduction targets.
Different versions
The Absolute V series is available in two different variants: Absolute VE with a galvanized metal frame and Absolute VG ProSafe with an ABS plastic frame. Regardless of the material, both variants are based on the same intelligent design. This allows Camfil to enhance criteria such as stability, comfort, and safety, while significantly reducing weight and energy consumption across all models. The Absolute V series is the best choice for true "energy heroes." With the most energy-efficient filter options on the market, users can expect lower energy consumption and reduced electricity bills. Since these filters are installed with a significantly lower initial pressure drop, filter changes can be made much later, leading to less downtime, labor, and waste.
