With the new Systec DX and Systec VX series, Systec GmbH & Co. KG introduces the next generation of compact and medium-sized laboratory autoclaves. Building on the technological foundation of the latest Systec HX series, both lines have been completely redesigned – with a new design, optimized process architecture, and a newly developed touchscreen control system from scratch. The result: faster, more precise, and resource-efficient sterilization processes with maximum user-friendliness.

In addition, all models come standard with modern interfaces for digital connectivity, including Ethernet, USB, and optionally WLAN. The process data relevant for documentation can be automatically exported in PDF or CSV format, with the extended internal storage enabling archiving for at least ten years. Thanks to tamper-proof signatures, AuditTrail functions, and complete traceability of all interventions, the new series meet key requirements of FDA Regulation 21 CFR Part 11.

The robust construction of all autoclaves in the Systec DX and Systec VX series is based on corrosion-resistant stainless steel (AISI 304 / 1.4301) for the frame and cladding, as well as pharmaceutical stainless steel (AISI 316L / 1.4404) for the pressure vessel. The standard operating range includes temperatures up to 140°C at 4 bar; optionally, 150°C at 5 bar is available. Up to five flexible PT-100 temperature sensors can be configured individually – for pure documentation or for direct process control. Additionally, up to 100 users and groups can be set up, each with their own or shared program lists.

Like all Systec autoclaves, the new series are designed for demanding laboratory applications. Liquids, porous solids, large-volume media bottles, or waste materials can be reliably and verifiably sterilized just as easily.

Systec DX Series – Horizontal tabletop autoclaves for maximum space utilization

The Systec DX series includes seven models with chamber volumes ranging from 25 to 200 liters. The horizontal design allows for highly efficient use of interior space and facilitates integration into laboratories with limited room. High loading capacities – ideal for standard laboratory bottles, Erlenmeyer flasks, and bulk containers – combined with reduced cycle times enable a significant increase in sample throughput.

With the new control architecture, heating and cooling times are significantly shortened. Innovative insulation materials meeting cleanroom standards (without particle emission) simultaneously reduce energy consumption.

Systec VX Series – Vertical standing autoclaves for maximum loading height

The Systec VX series comprises eight models with chamber volumes from 40 to 150 liters and is especially optimized for applications requiring maximum loading height. The vertical loading allows ergonomic handling even with heavy or large-volume samples. A lifting device can also be used for this purpose.

Thanks to generous interior height, Erlenmeyer flasks, media bottles, and bulk containers can be processed in larger quantities per cycle. The newly developed process architecture also ensures particularly fast and energy-efficient cycles.

Numerous options are available for optimizing specific applications in both the Systec VX and Systec DX series, including:

– Vacuum system for removing residual air from solids and waste
– Radial fan for uniform temperature distribution during the cooling phase and significantly shortened cooldown times
– Ultracooler for reducing cooldown time by up to 90%
– Steam-air mixture process for pressure-sensitive materials
– Exhaust air filtration
– Superdry drying and many other options.

Digitally networked and centrally monitored: Systec Connect DS for Systec DX and VX series

The Systec Connect Documentation System (DS) allows real-time monitoring of all autoclave processes in the Systec DX and Systec VX series – intuitively, centrally, and without additional hardware or software installations. Control visits to the device are completely eliminated: all ongoing and completed processes are clearly compiled and displayed in the browser. This facilitates integration into existing IT environments and significantly increases the time efficiency of all sterilization cycles.

Especially in laboratories with multiple parallel tabletop or standing autoclaves, continuous monitoring is crucial to immediately detect error messages and load the devices again without delay after cycle completion. With Systec Connect DS for the new generation of Systec DX and Systec VX series, the need for regular on-site checks of each autoclave is eliminated.

All relevant information is centrally compiled and can be read out clearly – from program type and remaining runtime to current temperature and pressure values. Color-coded status indicators make the system status immediately recognizable. Irregularities can thus be detected and corrected instantly, significantly reducing downtime between sterilization processes. Additionally, data from completed processes can be viewed – including statistics on minimum and maximum measurement values, F-values, and other parameters. This allows ongoing processes to be compared with historical data and long-term process optimizations to be derived.

Systec Connect DS is fully web-based and usable on all common systems – regardless of operating system or browser. Integration into existing IT structures is possible without additional software or costly upgrades.

For operating Systec Connect DS, only an Ethernet or WLAN connection within the internal laboratory network is required. All data remains within the local network; external servers or cloud connections are not necessary. Connect DS is solely for monitoring – no control commands are sent to the autoclaves, and no data is altered. Manipulations or unintentional process modifications are excluded. Access is only possible via user accounts stored in the autoclave, ensuring that only authorized persons can view process data and histories.

Systec Connect DS provides complete transparency over all ongoing and past sterilization processes and ensures more efficient workflows – especially in laboratories with multiple autoclaves from the Systec DX, Systec VX, and Systec HX series.

The Systec Connect app is available free of charge.

Complete portfolio – from 25 to 1580 liters

With the new series, Systec now offers three fully redesigned and harmonized product lines:

– Systec DX Series: 25–200 l (horizontal tabletop autoclaves)
– Systec VX Series: 40–150 l (vertical standing autoclaves)
– Systec HX Series / Systec HX Series 2D: 65–1580 l (horizontal standing and pass-through autoclaves)

Statement from Systec

“With the new generation of our Systec DX and Systec VX series, we are consistently continuing our innovation course. The autoclaves offer maximum efficiency, highest process safety, and future-proof digital networking. For laboratories and industry, this means: even faster results, reduced operating costs, and a sustainable improvement of the entire sterilization process.”
