The new differential pressure transmitter PS17 from halstrup-walcher impresses with a new housing concept and improved measurement accuracy.

Differential pressure transmitters are used for controlling ventilation and air conditioning systems and for filter monitoring. They are also used in cleanrooms or mini-environments to monitor under- and overpressures. The renowned measurement technology manufacturer halstrup-walcher offers the new differential pressure transmitter PS17, a device for basic applications with useful options and features.

Flexible transmitter for basic applications

The PS17 measures differential pressures between ± 50 Pa and ± 100 kPa. The piezoresistive silicon sensor provides high measurement accuracy of ± 1% of the final value with high long-term stability – a significant improvement compared to the predecessor model PS27. In the switchable version of the PS17, the customer can select the appropriate measurement range from four options. The output signal can also be adjusted via DIP switch to 0/4 .. 20 mA or 0/2 .. 10 V, optionally as a scaled characteristic curve. Fine adjustment of the final value by ± 5% is possible, as well as zero point calibration. The button for this is located inside the housing.

New housing design enables easier commissioning

The new, robust housing is easy to open with its snap lock – saving time. For wall mounting, no mounting plate is needed thanks to the two external longitudinal and transverse hole bores on the housing. Panel mounting is also possible by simply snapping it on. With protection class IP 65, the PS17 can be used outdoors and indoors.

The device comes with several options: in addition to a relay or display for showing measurement values, the PS17 can also be supplied with a DC/DC converter. This allows the PS17 to be used in applications requiring galvanic isolation. An optional DAkkS or factory calibration certificate from the in-house laboratories can also be provided.
