The House of Design: nora systems at BAU 2019

Modern and forward-looking – this is how nora systems presents itself at BAU 2019 in Munich. Visitors can expect an impressive staging of the high-quality rubber floors "Made in Germany" across two floors. The larger booth compared to 2017 offers space for inspiration and personal conversations. The focus of the fair this time is an overview of the wide variety of customer-specific solutions offered by the Weinheim rubber specialist – whether in terms of colors, designs, inlays, or special formats. Additionally, the best-selling product from nora systems, a floor from the noraplan series, has been redesigned.

Best-selling product redesigned

In the standard range of nora systems alone, there are more than 300 different shades, plus custom-made special colors and inlays upon request. More than a quarter of all orders produced at the Weinheim plant are custom-made. "Through close contact with our customers, we can immediately respond to changing requirements or new design trends and adjust the product portfolio accordingly," explains Andreas Mueller, Managing Director of nora systems. The bestsellers are also regularly reviewed and revised: proven colors and designs are maintained, and new developments are anticipated. This also applies to the redesigned noraplan flooring, which will be presented at BAU. With a fresh, modern, and simultaneously newly structured color range, it supports the architectural trend towards monochromatic design concepts. Several workshops with architects from around the world preceded the relaunch.

"With our booth at BAU, we want to bring our guests right into the action," Mueller continues. "They should get a sense of the possibilities that rubber floors open up for design and technical applications – in short, the material rubber and its advantages should be tangibly experienced."
