The Chillventa closes with significantly more exhibitors and visitors, once again confirming its role as the most important platform for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump industry. 1,170 exhibitors (2024: 1,010; +16%) from 50 countries showcased their latest products and services to over 36,000 (2024: 33,076; +10%) experts from around the world. The extensive accompanying program, including over 200 technical lectures at the Chillventa CONGRESS and in three technical forums, two top-class special presentations with practical expertise, as well as the new Future Space, invited visitors to linger, network, and exchange professional insights. This year, future topics such as sustainability, especially circular economy, cooling for data centers, digitalization, or AI were in focus. The Chillventa CONGRESS on the day before the trade fair, with over 300 participants, also shone with high-caliber presentations from international speakers.

There was only positive feedback from the industry. Kai Halter, Vice President Marketing & Brand Management at ebm-papst and Chairman of the Chillventa Trade Fair Advisory Board: "The halls were buzzing: there were always many people at the stands engaging in intensive conversations. The feedback from exhibitors regarding visitor quality was consistently positive. On behalf of the Chillventa Trade Fair Advisory Board, I can therefore say: Chillventa 2026 was a thoroughly successful trade fair!" The consistently long lines at the rebooking stand for Chillventa 2028 confirmed the high satisfaction among exhibitors. They will also participate again in 2028 with a stand.

Visitor structure convinces across the board

From tradespeople to plant operators, dealers, technical planners, and architects to manufacturers, all top target groups were united at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. Almost 60 percent of the over 36,000 Chillventa visitors came from abroad.

Chillventa CONGRESS scored with future topics

The Chillventa CONGRESS, held on the day before the trade fair, already attracted more than 300 participants. Dr. Rainer Jakobs, Coordinator of the Chillventa CONGRESS, expressed great satisfaction: "All lectures were well attended, and the choice of topics was very current. We were able to discuss many future-oriented topics of the industry, with particular praise for the depth of the technical contributions. Preparations for the next industry highlight, the European Heat Pump Summit 2027, are already underway."

Industry newcomers showed exciting developments

The two joint stands "START:HUB" for international startups and "Young Innovators" for German startups and young innovative companies offered newcomers the chance to introduce themselves to the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump industry and showcase their exciting product developments. The response at the stands and the adjacent lounge was enormous, and participants expressed great satisfaction with their trade fair participation.

Future topics in focus: Technical program convinced audiences

A core element of Chillventa was again the extensive technical program. In the forums "Climate & Ventilation & Heat Pump," "Refrigeration Technology," and "Applications & Training & Standards," visitors received practical insights into current developments and technological trends and used the well-attended forums for discussions, experience exchange, and networking.

Missed lectures?

All lectures from the technical forums were recorded and can soon be viewed on the Chillventa YouTube channel. The presentations of the lectures will be stored in the event planner on the Chillventa website.

The new Future Space was another highlight, providing numerous visitors with compact and practical impulses on digitalization, artificial intelligence, social media, and skilled workforce recruitment.

The two special presentations were also particularly popular with the trade fair audience. At the "We are under Voltage – Testing Modern Electrical Equipment!" area of the Federal Technical School, practical demonstrations showed, among other things, the generation of harmonic distortions and their measurement.

At the "AIT Heat Pump Innovation Lounge," visitors could experience drying and steam generation with industrial heat pumps up close.

Once again, the exciting atmosphere of competition was provided by the German Championship in Refrigeration Engineering. In the middle of the trade fair activity, the best young professionals in the professions of mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology competed against each other, building, wiring, testing, and commissioning refrigeration systems.

Save the date: Chillventa 2028

The next Chillventa will take place from October 10 to 12, 2028, at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. On the day before, October 9, 2028, the Chillventa CONGRESS will open the week of events for the international refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump community.
