Whether window glass, metal surfaces, tiles, carpets, or upholstered furniture: the metal company LFM from Burgkirchen, Austria, deals with contamination from metal dust in almost all areas. To ensure the highest level of cleanliness, the master company for metal and welding technology relies on the Blue Evolution XL+ from beam GmbH in Altenstadt for cleaning. The innovative steam vacuum system from the Bavarian quality manufacturer is a true multifunctional device and ensures top hygiene in LFM's workshop as well as in office and sanitary rooms and company vehicles. It works with hot dry steam, is filled only with clear water, and operates completely without chemicals — pure green cleaning.

The over 30 employees of LFM GmbH work with aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, manufacturing metal structures for vehicle, machinery, and rail vehicle construction, construction, and fish farming. The company supports its customers in developing their own ideas and plans and is engaged in classic welding work as well as metal processing through edge bending, turning, milling, and water jet cutting. Naturally, this creates a lot of dirt from fats, oils, and other corrosion agents, as well as from chips and dust.

Green Cleaning Concept from beam

"Especially metal dust is found almost everywhere with us — from the workshop and sanitary rooms to our company vehicles. Until now, we cleaned here conventionally with cloths and chemicals. However, the dust was not properly removed but rather spread and settled even more on carpets, upholstery, and in tile joints. The Blue Evolution XL+ from beam now ensures top hygiene and is also used in our office. The family-owned company from Austria operates its own solar and hydropower plants on the nearby Mattig River, which are certified as renewable energy systems and supply the operation with clean energy. For LFM, it was only logical to extend the company's sustainability strategy to include cleaning. Blue Evolution XL+ Inactivates Viruses

The multifunctional device from the Bavarian quality manufacturer works with up to 180 degrees Celsius hot dry steam, an innovative UVC blue light filter, and meets the highest hygiene standards: the Blue Evolution XL+ not only complies with the strict HACCP standard but also convincingly passes the 4-field test. Germs and bacteria are killed off by 99.9 percent, and viruses are effectively inactivated — especially important since the coronavirus pandemic, for example, has made hygiene in sanitary and office spaces as well as vehicles of LFM a top priority. "We want to protect our employees and, of course, our customers from infection as best as possible. With the Blue Evolution, we no longer make compromises on cleanliness and ensure hygienically clean surfaces in our operation," says Füreder.

The Blue Evolution XL+ from beam performs multiple steps in one: steaming, wiping, vacuuming, and killing germs. Companies can save up to 60 percent of the time that employees would normally need for cleaning with buckets, cloths, and brushes. And because the steam vacuum system works with hot dry steam, the cleaned surfaces are immediately dry again. An additional advantage in practice: the Blue Evolution XL+ binds dust and chips in the water filter, which can be easily emptied at the end. Furthermore, the absorbed germs and bacteria are killed by UVC blue light irradiation in the water filter. This way, the innovative steam vacuum system always keeps the air clean.

Different Attachments

With the device from beam, large areas in manufacturing and storage at LFM can be cleaned efficiently, as well as hard-to-reach spots in sanitary and office rooms. This is mainly thanks to the over three-meter-long hose and the various attachments. The four movable steering wheels also make the device very flexible and easy to handle. "With the Blue Evolution, we have hit a real jackpot in terms of flexibility and multifunctionality. We can fully rely on the steam vacuum system for building cleaning and are no longer dependent on buckets and cloths, especially not on chemicals — and all in every area of our operation," says Susanne Füreder happily about the new acquisition.

The multifunctional devices also feature various attachment nozzles, and their steam pressure can be regulated so that all surfaces can be cleaned thoroughly and gently. An additional practical advantage: all models have an extra hot water module for the most stubborn dirt. As a special feature, they also have a blue light effect, which leaves no chance for germs. The dissolved dirt particles land in the water filter and are bound in the water. The germs contained therein are then killed by UV blue light.
