Teradyne appoints Kim Povlsen as the new President of Universal Robots starting March 1, 2021

Teradyne appoints Kim Povlsen as the new President of Universal Robots (UR). The native Dane brings global leadership qualities combined with a high-tech and economic perspective. Povlsen will lead the next phase of growth and innovation for Universal Robots. With Povlsen's appointment, Teradyne affirms its commitment to the Danish roots of the robotics company and simultaneously supports the expansion and further development of the local robotics community. Povlsen will assume his new role as President of Universal Robots on March 1, 2021.

Kim Povlsen has previously held various senior business and technology leadership positions at Schneider Electric, a global energy management and automation company. Most recently, he was Vice President of Strategy & Technology, responsible for the technology strategy and implementation within this global organization with revenues of several billion dollars. Povlsen lives in Aarhus, Denmark, and holds a master's degree in Computer Science & Embedded Engineering from the University of Southern Denmark. Many of the innovators and leaders of the renowned robotics community in Odense are alumni of the university.
