T4M 2021: Trade fair date canceled at the industry's request

The T4M – Technology for Medical Devices will not take place in 2021. This decision was made at the request of the industry together with the trade fair advisory board and the sponsoring organizations Swiss Medtech and VDMA Medical Technology Working Group. "We regret the development. Due to the risk areas across Europe, the associated travel restrictions and quarantine regulations, holding an in-person trade fair in June is unfortunately no longer realistic for the medical technology industry, and the economic risk is too high," says Niklas Kuczaty, Managing Director of the VDMA Medical Technology Working Group. For a long time, they held on to a date in the first half of the year, hoping that after Whitsun, the likelihood of holding the event would increase and provide more planning security.

Kuczaty, who also represents a joint booth with over 30 companies through the VDMA Medical Technology Working Group, further states: "The trade fair advisory board and the industry support the decision to hold T4M 2022 again as an in-person event at Messe Stuttgart." The past months have clearly shown that online trade fairs can contribute to problem-solving and customer benefits, but especially in medical technology, this proves to be difficult. After thorough review and consultations with the industry, Messe Stuttgart decided against digitally replicating a physical trade fair for medical technology. They will focus all their energy on further developing the T4M – Technology for Medical Devices brand with individual, targeted activities.
