Syntegon, a strategic lifecycle partner for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries, published its 2025 Sustainability Report on July 22, 2026. The report highlights clear and measurable progress in the areas of environment, social, and corporate governance (ESG), including the goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by 2040. Against the backdrop of increasing regulatory expectations and global sustainability requirements, Syntegon aims to support its customers with solutions that combine productivity, compliance, and resource efficiency. The effectiveness of Syntegon’s sustainability strategy has been recognized by external experts such as EcoVadis and confirmed by the improved “B” rating from CDP for climate change.

This publication is the company's first sustainability report prepared in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and audited by an independent third party. This reflects Syntegon’s commitment to increased transparency and to meeting evolving regulatory requirements.

Sustainability Progress and Operational Performance

In 2025, Syntegon achieved tangible operational improvements: Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO2 emissions were reduced by 40 percent compared to 2019, while the greenhouse gas (GHG) intensity improved to 6.73 kg CO2e per thousand euros of revenue. Additionally, the share of electricity from renewable energy sources increased to 81 percent (+11 percentage points compared to 2024). Investments in employees and occupational safety were also advanced, with continuous improvements in training hours and key safety metrics.

External Recognition of the Sustainability Path

Independent acknowledgments of Syntegon’s sustainability achievements include successful assessments by EcoVadis and CDP. The latest EcoVadis rating shows that Syntegon ranks among the top two percent of evaluated companies worldwide, underscoring the strength of its performance in environmental, social, and governance areas.

In 2025, Syntegon achieved a B rating from CDP for climate change, indicating that the company actively manages its environmental impacts through established processes and robust strategies. The company's climate goals are also validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), strengthening the credibility of its decarbonization pathway.

This replaces GRI as the company’s primary reporting framework and underscores Syntegon’s commitment to greater transparency and regulatory compliance through third-party verification. The report details governance improvements, decarbonization roadmaps, operational measures to reduce emissions and resource consumption, and initiatives for continuous improvement in health and safety.
