Sustainability label "ecoilet" for the washroom

CWS makes environmental awareness visible

From now on, sustainability in the washroom will be visible to visitors. CWS, the well-known brand for washroom hygiene, now awards the ecoilet label for the use of CWS fabric towel dispensers, CWS foam soap dispensers, and recycled toilet paper, thus recognizing sustainable washrooms.

Washroom operators now have the opportunity to make their washroom a green calling card for customers, employees, and guests with the ecoilet environmental label. Whether in office buildings, restaurants, or public facilities: The new ecoilet label in the washroom immediately makes a company's environmental awareness visible.

The ecoilet product package conserves water, raw materials, waste, and consumables. This not only protects the environment but also reduces costs in the washroom. "We therefore recommend our customers to specifically use the three environmentally conscious basic products for the washroom. When these are in use, the customer receives the ecoilet seal in the form of a plaque, which they can display in their washroom," explains Enzo Lagrasta, Head of Product Management CWS at CWS-boco Germany.

Fabric: The clever way of hand drying

The fabric towel dispensers from CWS do not generate waste and ensure optimal hygiene. Since they can be washed up to 100 times, the fabric towel roll provides up to 15,000 hand dries in its lifecycle and replaces around 30,000 paper towels. A study by the Eco-Institute confirms: A fabric towel roll causes up to 79 percent less waste, requires up to 63 percent less energy, and produces up to 48 percent fewer greenhouse gases than paper towels. Additionally, CWS fabric towel systems have been awarded the Blue Angel environmental label and the hygiene certificate.

Save water with foam soap

Foam soap is significantly more economical compared to cream soap. It does not require water to lather and is easier to rinse off the hands. Therefore, soap consumption is reduced by up to 50 percent.

Sustainable handling of the environment

The production of recycled paper consumes less water and energy and generates fewer CO2 emissions. CWS's recycled paper therefore carries the Ecolabel for lower environmental impact. Additionally, a roll brake in the dispenser ensures economical use.

The future is green

As a provider of washroom and hygiene solutions on a rental basis, the idea of reusable products and resource-efficient processing of textiles is firmly part of CWS's brand philosophy. Companies are increasingly judged by whether and how they pursue sustainability goals. Those who see sustainability as an opportunity want to demonstrate it. CWS has recognized this and makes it possible.
