The ILMAC 2021 closed its doors on October 21, 2021, and the organizers look back on a successful event – it was the only industry meeting point in the German-speaking region this year. From October 19 to 21, 2021, nearly 7,000 visitors and exhibitors gathered in Basel.

Varied Program Convincing

During the last three days, around 250 exhibitors presented their innovations and developments in laboratory and process technology. The diverse program included symposia with lectures, award ceremonies, discussion forums, and roundtables, offering something for every interest. As a highlight this year, the Pharma Logistics Days were held for the second consecutive time on October 20 and 21, in collaboration with an industry-spanning committee from logistics and packaging. Additionally, the Maintenance Excellence Arena provided a compact overview of applications, solutions, and products for efficient maintenance throughout all three days.

Successful Launch of the Digital Community Platform for the Laboratory and Process Technology Sector

The new digital platform of ILMAC continues to serve as a meeting point for the industry after the trade fair, enabling exchange, information sharing, and the publication of events and product innovations. The platform presented at ILMAC was extremely well received and has around 6,000 members. ILMAC exhibitors now reach not only trade visitors at the live event but also 365 days a year.

The Trade Fair Atmosphere is Back

A successful event with the familiar trade fair atmosphere has come to an end. The exhibitors provided positive feedback to the organizers. Some positive comments have been recorded. For Thermo Fisher, ILMAC 2021 was, according to Marcus Klee, the largest trade fair in Europe in 2021. "You can tell visitors want to return to normality, and they desire personal interaction, and people want to see products 'live'."

Gerlinde Devaud from IGZ: "We were very positively surprised. In the first two days, we generated significantly more leads than in 2019. The quality of the leads was also very good."

ILMAC Says Thank You

A big thank you goes to the Swiss Chemical Society (SCG), which once again organized the ILMAC FORUM, to the speakers, all associations, partners, media partners, and exhibitors. Additionally, the organizer thanks Anton Paar, partner of the protection concept.

The industry will meet again next fall: on September 28 and 29, 2022, live at ILMAC LAUSANNE. ILMAC Basel will take place as usual from September 26 to 28, 2023, in the exhibition halls in Basel. For information about the events and the community platform, visit: www.ilmac.ch
