Strong solutions and a lot of know-how for process-safe component and surface cleaning
11. parts2clean with around 240 exhibitors from 15 countries
When the gates to the 11th parts2clean open on October 22, 2013, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds, around 240 exhibitors will be represented. "Visitors can expect not only the world's most comprehensive product and service range to carry out industrial parts and surface cleaning in a process-safe, cost-efficient, and environmentally friendly manner, but also numerous innovations will be presented," reports Olaf Daebler, Head of Surface Technology Department at Deutsche Messe AG. Furthermore, the bilingual (German <> English) parts2clean Fachforum offers extensive knowledge on optimizing cleaning processes.
Whether degreasing, deburring, cleaning, residual dirt control, or temporary corrosion protection – in recent years, cleanliness requirements in production, maintenance, and remanufacturing have increased enormously – and this is happening under increasing cost pressure. Companies are therefore more than ever faced with the challenge of carrying out cleaning processes efficiently, safely, and ecologically. Solutions for this task are offered by the approximately 240 exhibitors from 15 countries at the 11th parts2clean. The share of foreign companies at this year's international flagship trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning is around 19 percent.
Innovations in all exhibition areas
Numerous exhibitors are coming to the Stuttgart exhibition grounds with innovations and further developments. For example, a completely newly developed system for cleaning with hydrocarbons, modified alcohols, and polar solvents, characterized by high flexibility, optimized operation, and reduced space requirements. Additionally, the innovative system technology enables a reduction in unit costs in the cleaning process as well as energy consumption. Also presented is a dry ice blasting device that can reliably clean even very delicate, generatively manufactured components. In the aqueous spray cleaning segment, new cleaning nozzles are being introduced, which operate similarly to a hammer drill with a pulsating jet. These nozzles, which use the high kinetic energy of the spray jet to "hammer" dirt off the components, can be integrated into many existing cleaning systems. Exhibitors that present solutions for process-safe and economical deburring – even in interior areas – are significantly more represented than at previous events. Various new developments are also being introduced in cleaning media, such as a salt-free, high-pressure capable multi-metal cleaner that guarantees spot-free and complete drying. The new developments in cleaning containers and workpiece carriers help shorten process times, optimize results, and reduce costs. For the increasingly important task of controlling and documenting cleanliness in many industries, exhibitors also present new and further developments. In the segments of bath monitoring and bath maintenance, devices for continuous concentration measurement in liquids and systems for efficient process and wastewater treatment are presented. Visitors will also find innovative solutions for effective and economical corrosion protection and preservation as well as packaging.
Valuable know-how on top – bilingual Fachforum
The parts2clean Fachforum has established itself as one of the most sought-after sources of knowledge in cleaning technology. "The need for knowledge in the various areas of industrial parts and surface cleaning exists internationally. Therefore, this year the Fachforum will take place for the second time bilingually with simultaneous translation (German <> English) of all lectures," explains Daebler. The program, whose technical coordination is carried out by the Fraunhofer Alliance for Cleaning Technology, covers a total of 29 lectures ranging from fundamentals to specific issues in cleaning technology. The four presentations of the first session on Tuesday (October 22) are under the motto "Market and Methodology of Cleaning Technology." This includes, among other things, lectures on the systematic evaluation of different system concepts using the example of an aqueous single-chamber system and on the selection of the optimal cleaning medium. In the afternoon, the Fachforum focuses on quality assurance in industrial part cleaning. The lectures provide information on fundamentals, show solutions, and offer experience reports. After this session, visitors have the opportunity to deepen various topics in discussions with speakers and exhibitors. On the second day of the exhibition, the morning session addresses cleaning media and their monitoring as well as corrosion protection. The afternoon lectures deal with various possibilities for "process optimization." The forum program begins on the third day of the exhibition with a series of lectures on deburring, presenting different procedures, their possibilities, and limitations. The afternoon is dedicated to analytics. The lecture spectrum here ranges from the answer to the question "Achieving technical cleanliness with cleanroom or clean space or ...?" to information on new requirements for particle analysis in technical component cleanliness, and to technologies for optical inline inspection of the purity of technical surfaces.
Participation in the parts2clean Fachforum is free for visitors. The complete program, further information, and the list of exhibitors are available at www.parts2clean.de. The international flagship trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning from October 22 to 24, 2013, is open on all three days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
