HEITEC and Nymi are jointly developing groundbreaking solutions for secure and efficient authentication in standardized manufacturing environments within the pharmaceutical industry.

Together with the experts from Nymi, HEITEC leverages its expertise to provide companies in highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals and life sciences with innovative solutions for secure and efficient user authentication. As part of this partnership, HEITEC integrates the Nymi Band into its automation and digitalization projects.

The Nymi technology enables employees to authenticate themselves unambiguously via a wearable device – for example, for login to production and laboratory systems, digital signatures in MES or LIMS systems, access to facilities and machinery, physical access controls, and IT and OT system integration.

The authentication is contactless and also works in environments with personal protective equipment (PPE). This allows users to operate their systems securely without removing gloves or entering passwords.

For companies in regulated industries, this technology offers several advantages, such as higher data security and compliance (e.g., GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11), improved data integrity through unambiguous user identification, faster workflows via passwordless authentication, and enhanced user-friendliness in the production environment.
