Strong climate technology for hyperscale data centers
Ventilation device Vidur CoolCube from Weiss Klimatechnik
Hyperscale and high-density data centers are working with increasingly powerful servers. This creates new challenges due to extremely high heat loads. The IT cooling must be even more powerful and, if necessary, flexibly configurable. At the same time, it should offer high energy efficiency and operational security. The Vindur CoolCube from Weiss Klimatechnik meets these requirements.
The ventilation unit Vindur CoolCube enables simple, safe, and efficient cooling of the new server generations. It operates without a raised floor, allowing the capacity of a data center to be easily increased through larger racks. It can be installed as a standalone unit without complex structural measures. Its extensive configurability allows adaptation to a wide variety of requirements. Since Vindur CoolCubes operate independently of each other, using multiple units guarantees maximum fail-safety.
Strong cooling with low energy consumption
Vindur CoolCube is a powerful, chilled-water-based climate system for hyperscale and high-density data centers. Thanks to large heat exchangers and airflow optimized through CFD analyses, it ensures efficient cooling with minimal energy expenditure. The air handling units operate with horizontal airflow. They combine heat exchangers and fans in a single housing.
The compact Vindur CoolCubes are installed directly on the wall of the server room and require only one wall penetration for the supply air. The extraction of heated air is handled by other air handling units via a return air plenum from the warm aisle enclosures. These units are placed outside the server room; their maintenance is easily performed from the service corridor. The chilled-water units are ideally suited for connection to a chilled water plant or a central cooling system.
