When combined with standardized connection elements, users can quickly and cost-effectively build single-, two-, or multi-axis positioning systems based on the modular principle, significantly increasing process efficiency. With this affordable standard solution, Dr. TRETTER offers – in contrast to common market solutions – also drawn and anodized aluminum profiles with fully machined mounting surfaces on all sides. This allows these linear modules to achieve high assembly accuracy similar to a stiff steel axis profile. At the same size, the compact BI-RAIL modules are significantly more loadable than other models. "When installed horizontally, this solution as a Z- or Y-axis is very loadable," explains Serkan Boyaci.

This is especially evident during acceleration or when quickly handling high loads. The BI-RAIL modules can especially withstand high tilting moments in the Y-direction. The user thus achieves highly dynamic acceleration when starting. This allows for faster cycle times in automation and handling systems – for example, for pick-and-place tasks. This is due to the special and unique positioning of the guide elements within the profile. Two linear guides and four ball circulation slides in various sizes – or high-load roller guides mounted laterally in the profile for transverse loads – are installed. "Through this arrangement, the force lines form two overlapping force line triangles from below and above: in the middle, the force lines superimpose and reinforce each other. Therefore, the modules are particularly loadable in the Y-direction," explains Serkan Boyaci. "This ensures optimal force and moment absorption." These linear modules are therefore ideally suited as load-bearing components (vertical axes) – and for building portal systems. With this arrangement, the overall system dimensions can be made more compact and lighter, and the drive dimensioning can be reduced.

Depending on the requirements, the BI-RAIL series – as standard delivery – is available with rolled ball screw drives. These offer a repeat accuracy of up to 0.015 millimeters. More precise spindles can also be supplied upon request. For particularly high travel speeds, Speedy spindles with up to five meters per second can be used. "This sets us apart from competitors who already use belt drives for this," says Serkan Boyaci. "Only solutions with longer stroke lengths are equipped with belt drives." The BI-RAIL modules are available in sizes 70, 90, 130, and 160 millimeters. They can of course also be combined with other products from the MOVITEC series and customized according to individual customer requirements.

"MOVITEC" Linear Tables – Versatile Drive Options and Extremely Loadable

For high repeat accuracy and very high load capacities, the linear tables from the MOVITEC series are suitable. These are made of aluminum or steel and can be used as load-bearing components. They are available in sizes 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, and 400 millimeters – as well as corrosion-resistant miniature tables in sizes 50, 75, and 100 millimeters.

Thanks to the wide selection of drives for the linear tables, the right solution can be found for every application. Depending on loads and working cycles, various spindle variants are available – for example, satellite roller and trapezoidal screw spindles, as well as pneumatic, electromagnetic, and rack drives.

Upon request, Dr. TRETTER equips the units with a measurement system. "They have proven very effective in positioning and handling technology," says Serkan Boyaci. The linear table TVP250S, for example, has a stroke of 500 x 800 millimeters. Because it is highly loadable and precise, it is used as a cross table for machine tools. Dr. TRETTER has equipped the linear table TVP150-2 x TVP100 with an optical measurement system. This solution can position with micrometer accuracy.

"MOVITEC" Linear Axes – C-/H-Series are Affordable, Lightweight, and Compact

With the C-/H-series from the MOVITEC range, Dr. TRETTER offers the most affordable linear axes for medium loads and high travel speeds. Users can choose between two versions: the standard profile (C-series) or a higher load version with an increased profile (H-series). The latter can also be used as a load-bearing component. These are available in sizes 40, 60, 86, and 116 millimeters.

"This allows the guides to be loaded relatively equally in all directions – compression, tension, and lateral forces. This significantly simplifies the design process," explains Serkan Boyaci. Dr. TRETTER supplies all sizes of spindle axes also with two ball circulation slides. Their configurations vary from short, standard, long, to extra-long. Operating temperatures range from minus 20 to plus 80 degrees Celsius.

Compact Axes – Space-Saving, Precise, and Cost-Effective

With the MONOCARRIER series, Dr. TRETTER offers ready-to-use, compact axis units made of steel that enable precise guide and feed movements in a simple way. These axes are available in two variants: as a compact unit MCM in six sizes – and as a high-stiffness compact unit MCH, with taller side cheeks of the axis profile. The latter is available in three sizes. The maintenance-free linear axes are used in small machine tables or in pick-and-place units – for example, in analysis technology, semiconductor manufacturing, or PCB assembly. "Under suitable boundary conditions, they are also used in cleanrooms or the food industry," emphasizes Serkan Boyaci.

Matching Accessories for Minimal Maintenance

Dr. TRETTER also offers a wide range of additional processing and accessory components. For largely maintenance-free operation, all linear units feature an lubrication supply. To protect drives and guides from dirt, all MOVITEC products can be fitted with metal or bellows covers. Upon request, users can also receive units without covers.

"We customize the systems with customer-specific electrical drives from all common manufacturers if desired. This allows for easy integration into existing systems," explains Serkan Boyaci. With this, designers gain flexible components from the MOVITEC linear units for tailored solutions with minimal maintenance requirements.
