In the food industry and hospitals, cleanliness has always been part of daily operations. But companies in other sectors are increasingly working and storing in so-called clean zones. One of the most effective levers in the fight against dirt is to prevent the introduction of particles. Heute Maschinenfabrik offers a simple and sustainable solution: Profilgate cleans rollers, wheels, and tires of all kinds of conveyor systems, and if needed, shoe profiles as well.

The idea behind it initially resembles the home shoe scraper. However, the Solingen mid-sized company does not supply fabric mats with funny sayings, but hot-dip galvanized grating with patented brush strips. These are placed in shallow stainless steel trays that can be flush with the floor or surface-mounted. Upon closer inspection, a completely different mode of action becomes apparent: Profilgate actively removes unwanted particles from the running surfaces. This is achieved through the tension of the brush strips and the slanted arrangement of the bristles.

90 percent less dirt

The system operates with low maintenance and completely without electricity. Despite its simple principle, it delivers convincing results. Up to 90 percent of adhering dirt is captured, mainly in access and entrance zones. Users thus optimize technical cleanliness and work safety, reduce cleaning costs and causes of complaints. And this sustainably — the manufacturer provides a guarantee for 100,000 passes on the brushes. Their durability can easily be extended to 500,000 passes in practice. For this, you only need to exchange the cleaning fields from time to time.

Scientifically proven effect

Heute Maschinenfabrik produces various versions at its new plant in Solingen: for narrow wheels and rollers, for wide wheels and tires, for pedestrians, as well as for lightly and heavily frequented passages; the product range also includes solutions in stainless steel, food-grade plastic grates, and modules for wet cleaning, disinfection, and drying. Profilgate is used worldwide — among others in the automotive sector, in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, or in plant and machinery engineering; additional focus areas include electronics, food, and packaging industries. Customers include, for example, Airbus, Audi, BASF, Coca-Cola, Continental, Ferrero, Novartis, Panasonic, Tetra Pak, and Unilever. The Fraunhofer IPA Institute has scientifically analyzed and confirmed its effectiveness.

The manufacturer

Heute Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1905 as a manufacturer of shoemaking machines. Since 1945, the Solingen-based family business has focused on cleaning solutions. The range includes classic shoe polishing machines, sole cleaning systems, hygiene doors, and above all, Profilgate: the patented cleaning system for industry has established itself as a leading product worldwide, according to the company.
