Texwipe Sterile Wipes

Texwipe has developed sterile wipes to quickly and easily clean sterile environments without compromising their sterility. Although the wipes are not intended for medical devices, ITW Texwipe has decided to follow the guidelines of the AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) regarding sterilization validation through radiation and the requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia for endotoxin testing.

Reasons why Texwipe prefers gamma irradiation over other sterilization methods:

- Better penetration than electron beams
- Easier to validate process
- Gamma irradiation leaves no residues
- Compatible with many wipe materials and solutions used in Texwipe products
- Reduces endotoxin levels more effectively than electron beam irradiation
