Steel Innovation Award 2012: First Winner
On June 27, 2012, the Steel Innovation Award was presented. As the first recipient, Managing Director Christoph Mützel, together with Mr. Eisele from eisele kuberg design in Düsseldorf, received the award from the patron, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Reitzle, Chairman of Linde AG, and the Chairman of the Steel Information Center, Dr. Jost A. Massenberg, from the hands of the sponsors for our hygiene-optimized stainless steel furniture system.
The Steel Innovation Award, which has been awarded every three years since 1989, is one of the most significant competitions of its kind in Germany. With this award, the companies of the steel industry in Germany highlight the ingenuity and innovative strength of those who apply, research, design, or shape the material, bringing their ideas into the public eye. This year, 658 projects were submitted. No comparable competition in Germany can record such high participation.
It was particularly emphasized during the award that the hygiene furniture system exemplary utilizes the material properties of stainless, rust-free steel, and that the design is purposefully and ideally coordinated with the manufacturing technology used, thus achieving an optimum of hygienic quality and economic efficiency.
The entire team of Friedrich Sailer GmbH is pleased, together with the involved design office eisele kuberg design, about this award and the confirmation of our tireless efforts to design hygienic production environments for food and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
