The use of conveyor systems and handling equipment is indispensable in internal logistics and production. If they fail due to defects, repairs must be carried out as quickly as possible. Good spare parts supply and service are necessary for this. Customers of the insolvent LKE Schneider Leichtbau GmbH, a manufacturer of internal transport solutions and handling equipment, can now breathe a sigh of relief: EAP Lachnit GmbH is taking over the spare parts supply for the equipment. The rights to the spare parts sales have been acquired for this purpose.

The southern German company EAP Lachnit specializes in conveyor technology, handling, and special machines in the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. The portfolio of standard products includes, among others, lifting and tipping machines, pallet trucks, and electric forklifts, as well as conveyor belts and screws made from stainless steel. Due to their structural features and stainless steel surfaces, the conveyor components are also well suited for use in cleanrooms or Ex areas.

In recent years, EAP Lachnit has operated in a relatively small market segment among competitors. In 2020, a direct competitor – LKE Schneider Leichtbau GmbH – filed for insolvency. The customers of this provider are now in a difficult situation because spare parts supply can no longer be guaranteed. There is now a solution: EAP Lachnit GmbH is taking over the spare parts supply for the equipment.

The portfolio of LKE Schneider Leichtbau is similar to that of EAP Lachnit. It includes, among other things, conveyor systems, lifting and tipping devices, as well as special equipment such as weighing trucks or dosing belt scales.

Many of the conveyor, handling, and lifting devices are produced in small quantities or even as custom-made solutions. Spare parts for EAP Lachnit equipment also fit here. Alternatively, these can be offered in small series or as individual customizations. To establish such deliveries on a contractual basis, the rights to spare parts sales have been acquired. If complaints are now directed at LKE, EAP Lachnit processes them on behalf of LKE. The service even goes further and also includes annual safety inspections.

Good news for former customers of LKE Schneider Leichtbau, who can now rely on a new service partner and supplier of spare parts or even new equipment.
