Solutions from Vink Chemicals for the protection of paints and coatings

Vink Chemicals will be exhibitor at the European Coatings Show 2025 in Nuremberg (March 25-27) and will showcase the innovative portfolio with products from the fields of technical biocides for effective protection of paints and coatings. The focus is primarily on preservatives for pot and film preservation, which extend the shelf life and usability of paints and coatings. Another key aspect of the trade fair presentation is sustainability: Vink Chemicals has reformulated some proven products using more environmentally friendly raw materials from certified, sustainable production.

These are the BDA-based Vink products parmetol® MBX, parmetol® SBX, parmetol® BPX, grotan® BA 21, grotanol® FF 1 N, Vinkozid® BXP 10, and Vinkocide® BDA 30. In production, Vink Chemicals now exclusively uses the raw material BDA or N-(3-Aminopropyl)-N-dodecylpropan-1,3-diamine (CAS No. 2372-82-9) from an RSPO-MB certified source. The classification and labeling of the mentioned products remain unchanged despite the new raw material quality, as does their high microbiological efficacy.

Vink Chemicals also emphasizes sustainability in packaging and filling of its products. The company uses Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) and drums with up to 30% recycled material in the inner layer (Green Layer). The modified, more environmentally friendly composition of the containers does not affect the effectiveness and shelf life of the products contained or filled.

A range of specialty chemicals such as dispersion powders, defoamers, cellulose ethers, and various pigments will also be on display at the ECS booth.

Additionally, the Vink Chemicals team will present a new One-Stop-Shop concept: "Paints Frame Formulations." This comprehensive concept offers everything manufacturers of paints and coatings need for development and production – from formulations and manufacturing instructions to suitable raw materials and, if necessary, the selection of contract manufacturers. It is specifically aimed at companies that do not have their own laboratory or lack resources to drive their own developments. With Paints Frame Formulations, these manufacturers receive the necessary support to bring innovative products to market. Vink Chemicals' portfolio of specialty chemicals and biocides is directly integrated into the formulations to ensure the highest quality and efficiency.

Last but not least, Vink Chemicals will also present current concepts for production hygiene at ECS.

New exhibition stand with plenty of space for communication

Visitors to ECS 2025 can also look forward to a generously sized, newly designed exhibition stand in Hall 1, Stand 214, with a total area of 70 m². A separate room integrated into the stand is available for undisturbed meetings with customers on-site.
