SMC presents polyethylene hoses of the TX/TIX series for hygienically critical industrial applications

The new hoses meet international standards, offer high temperature and chemical resistance, and allow flexible installation – ideal for the food, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor industries.

With the new polyethylene hose series TX/TIX, SMC introduces a powerful solution for the transport of compressed air, water, or inert gases for demanding manufacturing and process environments. The hoses not only provide technical robustness but also regulatory safety, offering a significant advantage for manufacturers in the food, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor industries.

The TX/TIX hoses comply with international standards such as EU Regulation 10/2011, FDA guidelines, and the Japan Food Sanitation Act. For plant engineers, this means less effort in approval processes, faster market access, and a reliable basis for worldwide deployment.

Compared to media such as acids, alkalis, alcohols, and fats, as well as a wide temperature tolerance, the hoses maintain stable performance even under extreme conditions. This reduces downtime and increases operational safety.

Opacity, various inch sizes, roll lengths, and colors enable a tailored selection for different applications and upgrades in existing systems.

Combined with the corrosion-resistant stainless steel fittings of series KFG2, this results in a durable, low-maintenance connection – ideal for filling systems, packaging systems, dosing stations, water treatment, as well as processes in semiconductor manufacturing and laboratory automation.
