ANAREX analyzers and SILAREX as well as FlowEVO sensors from smartGAS offer a highly accurate and high-performance measurement solution based on NDIR and PAS for industrial gas measurement technology. For stable measurement results and a long sensor lifespan, an application-optimized preparation of the measurement gases is essential, especially for process measurement technology.

Most gases in process measurement technology do not come from clean environments and have no clearly defined composition. Combustion gases, biogas, or ambient gases are always contaminated with dust or moisture. Sampling is usually done close to the source: the measurement gas is drawn in via probes on pipes, exhaust lines, reactors, or gas containers using measurement gas pumps and transported to the analyzer. Since NDIR measurement technology (non-dispersive infrared absorption) is an optical measurement method, defined and application-specific sample preparation is extremely important. Particles must be removed because they damage the measurement chamber and distort the measurement results. The same applies to moisture. Inadequate or incorrect gas preparation will inevitably lead to significantly shorter sensor lifespan, signal drift, and inaccurate quantitative measurements.

The PREREX gas preparation system from smartGAS offers a particularly powerful complete solution for many areas of industrial gas measurement technology and combines all necessary components in one enclosure.
