SKAN Stein AG acquires the electron beam technology know-how and remaining warranty obligations

SKAN Stein AG, the manufacturing and engineering company of the SKAN Group, is strengthening its expertise in the application of electron beams and is taking over know-how and remaining warranty obligations for already delivered 200 kV and 300 kV electron beam components from Comet.

In September 2020, COMET AG announced the sale of its Ebeam lamp business to Tetra Pak. As of December 31, COMET AG has now concluded an agreement to sell the remaining Ebeam component business to SKAN Stein AG, which includes the execution of service activities for 200 kV and 300 kV Ebeam® motors or their components.

With this transaction, the SKAN Group secures and deepens access and expertise in a core technology for its customers in the pharmaceutical industry. In line with the announced focus strategy, COMET AG is concentrating on its core business of plasma control and X-ray technology.
