SKAN presented the new L-flange with connection vessel from ATEC and the sterile stopper filling in tubes at the Pharma Congress. Further application possibilities of the PSI-L were explained.

In March 2015, at the annual Pharma Congress Production & Technology in Düsseldorf, a live demo of the modular isolator PSI-L and its flexible application options (e.g., with connection vessels from Atec) was demonstrated. Due to the great response to the PSI-L isolator, it was also shown at ACHEMA in Frankfurt am Main. The focus here was on demonstrating the sterile stopper filling in tubes from Atec. The L-flange with connection vessel from ATEC is ideal for the customer because it does not require costly rotary quick transfer ports and is therefore more economical. Since the vessel along with the L-flange can be quickly removed and transported to the filling location, this greatly facilitates handling. With the L-flange with sterile stopper filling, the Atec feed vessel can be very easily filled and quickly docked with the lift. The unique L-shaped flanges allow for quick change of work equipment. This enables the isolator to be used for various pharmaceutical processes. The short decontamination cycle and safely interchangeable recirculation air filters (FIPA) make it a universal sterile workspace for aseptic or highly active pharmaceutical products. This is ideal for customers who produce small quantities, such as clinical samples, fill syringes or vials, or require a freeze-drying process.
