Equipped with a special polymer surface, dirt from shoe soles and trolley wheels sticks to the mat. It is recommended to perform 3 steps with each foot or 3 wheel rotations to use the mat effectively.

Studies show that adhesive mats with a polymer coating provide higher decontamination compared to conventional adhesive mats. With a thickness of about 2mm, it is a very low mat made of a very light and soft material. The material adapts to the shoe or wheel and, in addition to providing comfortable walking, ensures a high contact area for decontamination.

The cleaning is done with a special neutral cleaner, which is available in sterile and non-sterile cleanroom variants. Afterwards, it is dried with a rubber squeegee, and the SimStep mat is immediately ready for use again and can last for many years.
