Sebastian Walter new Head of Sales Western Europe at Universal Robots

Universal Robots (UR) has appointed Sebastian Walter as Head of Sales Western Europe. In his new position, Walter has been responsible for sales in the key markets of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland since March 1, 2021.

"I am very pleased with the new responsibility and the tasks entrusted to me," comments the long-standing sales professional on his appointment. "I will focus on further expanding Universal Robots' market leadership and making robotics accessible to an even larger customer segment. It is exciting to see how our products can be applied in virtually every manufacturing industry."

Decisive Role for Partner Network

Walter began his career at Universal Robots in early 2017 as Business Development Manager. Just a year later, he advanced to Channel Development Manager. During this time, the sales expert played a central role in expanding Universal Robots' sales structure in his area of responsibility. Andrea Alboni, General Manager Western Europe, comments: "Sebastian Walter was largely responsible for developing the Baden-Württemberg region into one of the most performant markets for Universal Robots worldwide. Not least, the integration of distributors, integrators, and OEMs was of great importance."

For Walter, the partner network is also the foundation for the positive business development of recent years: "The successes would not have been possible without our partners. Especially small and medium-sized enterprises benefit from this network," says the new Head of Sales Western Europe. This is particularly true for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) with its high density of medium-sized companies. "But I also want to thank the entire Universal Robots team, the colleagues who impress us every day with their motivation and dedication," summarizes Walter.

Before his engagement with the cobot pioneer, Walter worked as a Sales Engineer at Leuze, an international sensor expert in automation technology based in Owen. Walter holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Hochschule Karlsruhe.
