SCHMIDT® flow sensors now with status indicator / SCHMIDT® flow sensor now with status indicator

SCHMIDT Technology GmbH has equipped the flow sensors of the SS 20.60 and SS 25.60 series with a new useful feature. Information about the current flow velocity and the sensor's status can now be read directly from the sensor quickly and easily.

Four LEDs signal the currently measured relative result in green, with the measurement range divided into four sections (20%, 50%, 80%, and 100%). Two LEDs change color to orange when the flow is outside the measurement range. In case of malfunctions, the LEDs blink in red. The user can immediately see whether the operating voltage and permissible operating temperature are exceeded or undershot, or if there is a device fault.

The sensors have proven especially effective in measuring flow velocity or volume flow in compressed air systems, process technology, up to flow velocities of 200 m/s
and temperatures of 350°C.

SCHMIDT Technology GmbH has equipped the flow sensor SS 20.60 and SS 25.60 with a new helpful function. Information about the current flow velocity and the sensor's status are displayed directly on the sensor.

Four LEDs signalize with green light the measured value relative to the measurement range. The range is divided into four sections (20%, 50%, 80%, and 100%). Two LEDs change their color to orange when the flow exceeds the measurement range. In case of a malfunction, the LEDs blink red. The operator can immediately identify whether the power supply voltage or the permissible temperature range is exceeded or if the sensor is defective.

The sensors have proven their capability for measuring flow velocity and air volume in compressed air systems or process technology at flow velocities up to 200 m/s and temperatures as high as 350°C.
