SCHMIDT® Flow Sensor also for oxygen consumption

SCHMIDT Technology has developed a new flow sensor based on the SS20.60 for use in pure oxygen. The special requirement for such a measuring instrument arises from the fact that pure oxygen reacts directly with most elements of the periodic table, and even minor impurities can trigger chain reactions (dust explosions).
As a consequence, careful material selection and manufacturing processes play a crucial role. SCHMIDT Technology uses a stainless steel through-connection with Viton seal and a mounting bracket made of nickel-plated brass in the new SS25.60. Suitable foil packaging protects each individual sensor and accessories from contamination.
Additionally, the sensor and packaging are clearly marked with the indication "O2".
Of course, a handling instruction sheet for customer information is included with the delivery. The SS25.60 is offered as a submersion probe with an integrated transmitter for mounting on pipes from 25 to 1000 mm and can be configured for measurement ranges of 2.5 ... 200 m/s at an operating pressure of up to 16 bar overpressure. Upon request, connection to Profibus or DeviceNet is possible.
