Sauber: Linear axis for cleanroom use – RK Duoline Clean

RK Rose+Krieger offers the RK Duoline Clean linear axes for cleanroom environments in sizes 60 and 80, optionally with ball screw drive (rear) or belt drive (front).

The spindle- and timing belt-driven RK Duoline Clean linear units, with or without vacuum connection, in the standard sizes 60 and 80, have been tested according to EN ISO 14644-1 and received certification for cleanrooms of the globally valid classes 1 (RK Duoline Clean 60 SU with vacuum connection at 0.5 m/s) to 5 (RK Duoline Clean 80 Z without vacuum connection at 0.5 m/s).

RK Rose+Krieger implemented a total of four variants of the cleanroom axes, each of which can be optionally equipped with a vacuum connection (U), significantly reducing particle emission. This results in the following eight axis configurations:

- RK Duoline 60 S / RK Duoline 60 SU
- RK Duoline 60 Z / RK Duoline 60 ZU
- RK Duoline 80 S / RK Duoline 80 SU
- RK Duoline 80 Z / RK Duoline 80 ZU

Tested at the Fraunhofer Institute

The profile linear units of the RK Duoline series, optimized for cleanroom use, passed all tests required to demonstrate cleanroom suitability. These tests were conducted at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation IPA in Stuttgart.

Cover strip made of stainless steel and low idle torque

The RK Duoline Clean linear units optionally feature a ball screw or a polyurethane timing belt. In general, all Duoline Clean units have a cover strip made of stainless steel. Additionally, all external steel parts are nickel-plated or made of stainless steel. All axes are characterized by low idle torque and simplified maintenance through a central lubrication point on the carriage.
