Sandra Füllsack becomes a Knight of Plastic

Sandra Füllsack, Managing Director of the motan Group, has been accepted as the 46th member of the Strategy Circle for Plastics Technology by the Association of German Engineers (VDI). The honor was bestowed on May 17th in Vaals, Netherlands, on the sidelines of this year's Spring Symposium. After a symbolic knighting ceremony, Sandra Füllsack received not only a certificate of honor but also a sword, which now adorns her office in Constance.

The VDI Strategy Circle for Plastics Technology thus honored Sandra Füllsack's contributions to plastics engineering. In the laudation, Dipl.-Ing. Torsten Ratzmann emphasized Füllsack's extraordinary commitment to the process engineering development of the broad spectrum of plastic processing methods and their networking. True to the motto: "Turning an idea into action demonstrates the true value of innovation," Sandra Füllsack, for example, initiated the so-called "mia." The "motan innovation award" aims to collect, evaluate, reward, and ultimately help implement innovative ideas into practice. Additionally, she is actively involved in association work, for example, on the board of the VDMA's Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association and on the FAKUMA trade fair advisory board.

As a trained lawyer, it is a special honor for Sandra Füllsack to belong to the VDI Strategy Circle for Plastics Technology and to help the industry prepare for future challenges with fresh impulses. "Currently, plastics do not have the best image, and we all know that in many cases, they are precisely the answer for sustainable and economical solutions," says the managing director of the motan Group. "It is up to us to explain this and to honestly inform about the application of plastics. Sustainable solutions can only be found together: manufacturers, machinery builders, and processors."
