Various processes require different levels of air purification. For certain procedures, viruses, germs, particles, and toxic substances can have serious consequences, especially in the pharmaceutical sector, cleanrooms, or highly sensitive manufacturing processes. HEPA filters are used here. The term HEPA stands for "High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter" and means "filter with high effectiveness against particles".

In highly sensitive areas, HEPA filters are installed in ventilation systems to clean the outgoing air from possible pathogens. For this purpose, the systems are routinely cleaned with disinfectant solutions and the filters are decontaminated. Thus, they are free from contaminants of all kinds.
